Fizzy Science

This my FIZZ INFLATOR and Lunch Bag.

My brother and my dad helped.

You will need some people helping you.

We did the Lunch Bag first.

You will need:

1.tissue

2.teaspoon

3.baking soda

4.zip up bag

5.1/2 cup of vinegar

6.1/4 cup of  warm water

The instructions:

1. Do it outside or on the kitchen sink.

2. Put 1/4 cup of warm water in a zip up bag.

3.Put 1/2 cup of vinegar in the bag too.

4.Put 3 teaspoons of baking soda on the tissue.

5.Fold the tissue and quickly put it in the bag and quickly close it.

6.See what happens next. Cool right?

Next we did the FIZZ INFLATOR.

You will need:

1.A bottle

2.baking soda

3.A balloon (we used plastic bag because we didn't have a balloon)

4.1/2 cup of vinegar

5. A funnel or piece of paper.

Instructions:

1.Pour the 1/2 cup of vinegar into the bottle

2.Loosen up the balloon by stretching it a few times and then use the funnel to fill it a bit more than half way with baking soda. If you don’t have a funnel you can make one using the paper and some tape.

3.Carefully put the neck of the balloon (or plastic bag) onto the neck of the bottle without letting the baking soda into the bottle.

4.Lift the balloon (or plastic bag) up so the baking soda falls into the bottle and get mixed with the vinegar

5. See what happens next.

  1. Kia Ora Olivia,
Fantastic work sharing your science experiment step by step. I also like how you tried with and without the bottle. Which one do you think created the most fizz?
